Rowena Turinawe is an Author, Speaker, Mentor and a proficient ICT professional with over 15 years’ experience cutting across national and regional executive management level in business transformation, IT service management, delivery of complex ICT driven projects, digital transformation strategy formulation, execution and consulting.

Her career expands over several industries including engineering, finance, banking, telecommunications and public sector. She was named among the 35 most influential women in technology in Africa by CIO Africa (2021) and ICT Young Professional of the Year (2023) by the ICT Association of Uganda (ICTAU).

Rowena has a passion for helping companies disrupt change as usual. Her mantra is ‘when digital transformation is done right, it’s like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, but when done wrong, all you have is a fast caterpillar. Rowena is frequently called upon as a speaker, panelist and mentor. She is known for delivering eloquent, high-energy talks that make deep connections with audiences.

Her humor draws audiences into laughter while they learn. As a mentor, she engages her mentees to grow and tap into their potential.

Rowena is an author and has co authored a book under the ‘Transformation Diary’ initiative. She holds a Master’s degree in information systems and Change Management and the following credentials: COBIT Certification, PROSCI Change Management Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) & ITIL.
